Prince Daniel of Sweden has worked to promote Swedish business and opportunities for young people for many years. On Thursday, His Royal Highness participated in a digital meeting with employees at the Young Entrepreneurship organization.
Young Entrepreneurship educates high school students in entrepreneurship by giving them the opportunity to start and run companies as part of their education. During the current academic year, over 36,000 students run student companies, which is a record number since the organization was founded in 1980.
The organization also develops teaching materials in entrepreneurship for primary school. All of Young Entrepreneurship’s 100 employees were invited to the video meeting where Prince Daniel, among other things, thanked the employees for their efforts to promote entrepreneurship. Prince Daniel is a member of the Young Entrepreneurship’s National Board.
Young Entrepreneurship is a politically independent, non-profit educational organization. Since 1980, they have trained high school students in entrepreneurship through the UF entrepreneurship education. Since 2010, they have also worked in primary schools. Young Entrepreneurship gives children and young people the opportunity to train and develop their creativity and entrepreneurship.
Prince Daniel has always been very involved in entrepreneurship and has worked to make it easier to be an entrepreneur in Sweden. He shares this passion with Crown Prince Haakon of Norway, and the two have therefore collaborated several times to shed light on important entrepreneurship. In 2018, Prince Daniel also teamed up with Prince Constantijn of the Netherlands to highlight entrepreneurship. In 2017, Prince Daniel visited Amsterdam to attend the seminar “Startup Summit Sweden-Netherlands.”
