Crown Princess Victoria makes surprise statement denying ”impending divorce”

Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel have taken to social media to deny that their marriage is in crisis.

The brief statement, accompanied by a new photo of the couple, took many by suprise.

In the message, posted on the official Swedish royal Instagram on February 19th 2022, Victoria and Daniel said ”It has come to our attention that there are widespread negative rumours about our private relationship. Allegations are being spread about betrayal in the relationship and an impending divorce. Normally, we do not comment on rumours and speculation. But in order to protect our family, we wish to make it clear, once and for all, that the rumours that are now spreading are completely unfounded.”

The message was signed ”Victoria and Daniel”.

The decision to issue such a public denial surprised many. As the couple said, they never comment on stories about their private relationship so their latest move has attracted a lot of attention.

Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel married on June 19th 2010 in Stockholm and have two children, Princess Estelle, who turns ten in the coming days, and Prince Oscar, who will celebrate his sixth birthday at the start of March.

The couple have always been thought to enjoy a strong relationship and marriage.
