Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia reveal adorable new family photo

Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden have revealed a new, adorable family photo to wish everyone a happy summer.

The photograph shows the family outdoors with Carl Philip and Sofia’s three sons, Princes Alexander, Gabriel and Julian, on their laps.

The image was uploaded to the couple’s Instagram account with the message, “Our family wishes you all a wonderful summer!”

Prince Alexander is seen cuddling up to his mother in the photo while his two younger brothers sit on their father’s lap. Prince Gabriel appears to be playing with Prince Julian’s foot in the image.

The new family photograph has not been added to the Royal Family’s website as has become customary since King Carl XVI Gustaf issued his 2019 statement revoking the Royal Highness status and place in the Royal House of Carl Philip and Sofia’s children and the children of Princess Madeleine and her husband, Chris O’Neill.

Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia married in June 2015. Their first child, Prince Alexander, was born on 19 April 2016. Their second child, Prince Gabriel, followed on 31 August 2017. The couple’s youngest son, Prince Julian, was born on 26 March 2021. Julian was the first grandchild of the King to be born without the Royal Highness style and place in the Royal House.
