Crown Princess Victoria visits centre supporting asylum seekers

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden

Crown Princess Victoria has made visits to two of Stockholm City Mission’s operations in Husby and Unga. This is one of several visits the Crown Princess has made recently to the Stockholm City Mission.

In the suburb of Unga the Crown Princess learn more about activities that aim to provide meaningful free time for children, families with children and young adults up to 21 years of age.

In Inga, the Crown Princess got to talk to experienced adults who talk to people who need help in difficult times. At this place people can participate in activities and find tea, coffee and something to eat.

Crown Princess Victoria then travelled to the suburb of Husby where she got to see how Stockholm City Mission offers open activities, conversations and legal advice for people who have had their asylum application rejected or live in the country without a residence permit. The Crown Princess was able to learn more about the place that offers legal advice in matters surrounding the asylum process and options for action after an asylum application has been rejected.

Her Royal Highness also took the time to talk to those who use these offers. She also had a good opportunity to both draw and make paper figures with some of the children who were at the centre when it received a royal visit.

Crown Princess Victoria has been patron of the Stockholm City Mission since 2010.In recent years, the Crown Princess and Prince Daniel have brought their two children, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar, with them to drop off Christmas gifts and to wrap presents being sent to children and young people living in vulnerable families.
