Princess Ingrid Alexandra to become an assistant at a school

Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway is to spend a term working as an assistant in a school.

The second in line to the throne, who has just finished her secondary education, will be an assistant and an environmental worker at Uranienborg from September and through the autumn.

After that, she will begin a year of military training which will take her to Skjold camp in Inner Troms, the base of the 2nd Battalion and the Engineer Battalion.

The eldest child of Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit is in line to be the Supreme Commander of the Norwegian Armed Forces when she eventually succeeds to the throne.

Princess Ingrid Alexandra, who turned 19 in January, graduated from high school last month with her parents joining her at the ceremony at Elvebakken Upper Secondary.
