Queen Máxima praised by Ivanka Trump

Fresh off the three day US state visit of her father to the United Kingdom, Ivanka Trump, Special Advisor to the President, has travelled to the Hague, in the Netherlands, for the Global Entrepreneur Summit to give the closing remarks.

Ahead of her arrival, she gave an interview to Dutch newspaper Het Parool in which she praises Her Majesty Queen Máxima of the Netherlands – who gave the opening remarks of the conference a few days ago.

The First Daughter remarked about her friendship with the Queen and their great relationship due to their passion for women rights and their economic independence.

Ivanka said, “I met Her Majesty for the first time at the W20 [the women’s summit at the G20] in March 2017. Thanks to our shared interests and the act that we are both committed to women’s economic independence, a great relationship arose. I admire her passion, courage and leadership. And I appreciate our friendship.”

Just last year, Trump also spoke about the Queen and her admiration for her. She said then, “I have learned so much from Her Majesty, and I hope to learn a lot more.”

Queen Máxima will accompany her husband, King Willem-Alexander in a few days for a state visit to Ireland which will take place from 12 to the 14 of June.

Ivanka Trump was present for the state visit to the United Kingdom and attended the state banquet, hosted by Queen Elizabeth II, in the evening on day one at Buckingham Palace. She also participated in the dinner hosted by the presidential couple on Tuesday evening in honour of the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall who attended on behalf of The Queen.
