Princess Gabriella goes skiing for first time in mother’s Instagram snap

Her Serene Highness Princess Gabriella of Monaco has gone skiing for the very first time, revealed her mother, Princess Charlene in an Instagram video posted a couple of days ago. The video has garnered 25,000 views in its short time online.

The three-year-old is seen taking a short trip on her skis while her twin brother, Prince Jacques watches in the background beside their father, Prince Albert. Gabriella is being watched closely by who appears to be a skiing instructor. The little Princess is heard giggling as she slowly travels down a tiny hill while Princess Charlene and others are heard clapping and saying “yay” in the background.

A very proud mother, Princess Charlene posted two more images yesterday of her daughter in the snow. Adorably, Gabriella’s skis feature a Disney princess and queen – Queen Elsa and Princess Anna of Arendelle from the 2013 worldwide box office success cartoon, Frozen.

If Prince Jacques has also gone skiing for the first time in his young life, no video or images have yet been shared.

The Princely Family of Monaco is currently on holiday, but their location has not been revealed. The holiday is thought to have begun shortly after the family participated in the annual celebrations of Saint Dévote – the patron saint of Monaco – on 26 and 27 January.

Princess Gabriella and her twin, Prince Jacques were born on 10 December 2014 at the Princess Grace Hospital Centre in Monaco. Gabriella is two minutes older than her brother; although Jacques is the younger twin, he is first in line to succeed their father, Albert as the Sovereign Prince of Monaco. This is due to the fact that Monaco still abides by male-preference primogeniture, putting Jacques ahead of his older sister in the line of succession.
