A first for Prince Albert of Monaco as daughter posts a picture that makes history

A year marked by the sad absence of Princess Charlene came to a close on a note that surely put a smile on Prince Albert of Monaco’s face.

His first daughter, Jazmin Grace, posted a picture of all four siblings together in a Reel summarising her 2021 on Instagram.

The picture represents a first, as it had never happened before that all four children fathered by Prince Albert appeared in the same image.

The picture would almost fly by, as it is part of a fast slide show of images that the young woman used to capture the most meaningful moments of the past year.

Jazmin did not specify when the picture was taken, but it could have been snapped in late August, when Alexandre Grimaldi-Coste travelled to Monaco to celebrate his 18th birthday.

Jazmin Grace Grimaldi was born on 4 March 1992 in Palm Springs, Florida. She was the child from the relationship Prince Albert maintained with then-waitress Tamara Rotolo. The sovereign recognised her as his daughter in 2006.

Alexandre Grimaldi-Coste was born in Paris on 24 August 2003 as Éric Alexandre Stéphane Tossoukpé; his mother changed her surname to Coste in 2004, which subsequently modified her child’s family name as well. She added Grimaldi to her child’s surname after Prince Albert officially accepted paternity of the child in 2005. Contrary to his half sister Jazmin, who is following in her grandmother’s career footsteps, Alexandre lives a mostly normal life, away from the public eye.

If the speculation is correct about the picture’s timeline, twins Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella were already three months into their forced separation from their mother, Princess Charlene, and may have just come back from their second trip to South Africa to visit her.
