Official family photos released by Denmark’s Royal House on a very special day

The Danish Royal House released three new family photographs to mark the 18th birthday of a future monarch.

The new images were taken by Dennis Stenild and feature the birthday boy, Prince Christian, with his immediate family in the Hall of Knights in Frederik VIII’s Palace at Amalienborg.

The future King of Denmark is seen with his grandmother, Queen Margrethe; parents, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary; and siblings, Princesses Isabella and Josephine and Prince Vincent.

Prince Christian turned 18 on 15 October, and Queen Margrethe hosted a gala dinner at the palace in celebration. Earlier in the day, Prince Christian appeared on the balcony with his family to wave to the Danish people as he came of age.
