Crown Prince Christian of Denmark made the most of his time in Paris for the 2024 Summer Paralympics, his final royal engagement before a four month stay in east Africa focused on conservation work.
The Danish Crown Prince headed to Paris to support and watch Danish Paralympians as they compete for the nation.
Crown Prince Christian had a busy schedule and took in several events. He began his day by watching the Men’s Wheelchair Rugby team face off against Germany, with Denmark clinching a 56-49 victory.
The Crown Prince then watched Peter Rosenmeier’s table tennis match against Paul Karabardak from Great Britain. The Crown Prince seems to be good luck for Danish Paralympians, as Rosenmeier also won his match with a final score of 3-0.
Denmark has sent 32 para athletes to the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris. So far, Denmark has won one Gold medal in Men’s 100M Butterfly- S14, one Silver Medal in Men’s Long Jump- T63, and two Bronze Medals (one in Women’s Taekwondo- 65kg and one in Men’s 10m Air Rifle- R1).
The Danish Royal Family announced that Crown Prince Christian will be spending several months in East Africa and will be working on two local farms and learning more about local conservancy. He left Denmark on 4 September to begin this new chapter.
