Crown Princess of Greece to publish children’s etiquette guide in March

The Crown Princess of Greece has written a new manners book that will be published in March.

Sharing the news on her personal Instagram account, Crown Prince Marie-Chantal wrote, “Well it’s nearly here and I’m so excited, just a month and a half to go!”

The tome, called Manners Begin at Breakfast: Modern Etiquette for Families, is an etiquette book that offers easy lessons on how parents can instill good manners in their children.

Abrams Books, which will publish Crown Princess Marie-Chantal’s book, said that “…Marie-Chantal of Greece is constantly asked how she manages to do it all—raise her kids and run her business while leading an active social life.

“So many of these queries—about proper etiquette for children in our fast-paced, technology-centred world—led her to recognise the need for a modern handbook on children’s manners.”

Thus, Manners Begin at Breakfast. The Crown Princess’s book will teach parents the rules of etiquette surrounding everything from “basic table manners, social media, fashion dos and don’ts, and party conversation,” for infants, toddlers, children, and teens.

Billed as “an essential guide for all parents concerned about raising self-assured, well-adjusted children who are equipped to thrive in society and develop into confident, successful adults,” Marie-Chantal’s book also includes watercolour illustrations by Lydia Starkey, an introduction by Dr Perri Klass, and a foreword by Tory Burch.

Burch is a fashion designer and Dr Klass is a pediatrician and journalism professor/pediatrics professor at New York University.

This is Crown Princess Marie-Chantal’s first book. She is the founder and creative director of Marie-Chantal, a luxury children’s clothing company, which started in 2000 when she was pregnant with Prince Achileas-Andreas of Greece and Denmark and wanted to create a line of “classic and timeless designs” for luxury baby and kids’ clothes, according to her official website.

Manners Begin at Breakfast is available for pre-order through all major bookselling websites and will be released on 20 March.
