Zara Tindall is headlining a brand new event set to take place in London just before Christmas.
The King’s niece has just been confirmed as one of the riders for the first ever London International Eventing Challenge. For the first time, it will be part of the London International Horse Show.
The new move comes just months after she took the British Open Championship at Hartpury. Zara Tindall is also a silver Olympic medallist and has won gold at the World and European Championships in a career that spans years.
Zara, 45, will join other equestrian stars at the indoor eventing competition. She’s set to ride alongside eventers Ros Carter, Gemma Stevens and Tom McEwen at the event which takes place exactly a week before Christmas.
It’s the first time that Arena Evening has taken place at the London International Horse Show.
The news was announced in the podcast, Talk Horse, by hosts Pippa Funnell and Tristan Phipps. During the chat, Zara also reflected on her life growing up at Gatcombe Park, the Gloucestershire home of Princess Anne.
And during the show, produced in association with Musto, Zara also hinted that she would be joined by another special guest in the second part of the chat which will be released next week.
Zara Tindall has enjoyed a long equestrian career, following in the footsteps of her mother, Princess Anne, and her father, Captain Mark Phillips.
She has returned to the top of competitive eventing in recent years.
Her appearance at the London International Horse Show will come in a busy run up to Christmas for the Royal Family.
The Princess of Wales is expected to host her now annual Together at Christmas Carol Service which takes place at Westminster Abbey and which is broadcast on Christmas Eve.
