Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reveal they would love to start a family

The world watched on as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle finally got the chance to tell their love story.

After the engagement of the happy couple came Monday morning, the 33-year-old Prince appeared alongside his 36-year-old fiancée in an interview with the BBC’s Mishal Husain who asked questions on behalf of all the broadcasters.

Speaking about their relationship, they said:  “Very early on, we knew we were going to commit to each other.”

The news royal watchers anxiously waited for was if Prince Harry and Meghan would be blessing us with more royal baby watches? The answer- yes!

The couple is “hopefully look[ing] to start a family” in the future, but take “one step at a time.”

Earlier today, the couple appeared together in the grounds of Kensington Palace for a photocall to commemorate their engagement.

The Prince and his fiancée posed in the Sunken Gardens and answered a couple of questions posed to them by reporters.

When asked whether the proposal was romantic, the 33-year-old Prince replied: “of course it was”.

He added that he “knew Meghan was the one straight away.”

The engagement ring is made of diamonds and was designed by Prince Harry himself. It includes one stone from Botswana and two diamonds from his mother’s personal collection.

Rachel Meghan Markle was born on 4 August 1981 in Los Angeles, California, to Doria and Thomas W. Markle. She is of mixed-race with her mother being African-American and her father being of Dutch and Irish descent.

Having been educated at private schools her entire life, Ms Markle graduated in 2003 with a double major in Theater and International Relations from Northwestern University.

Ms Markle is an active humanitarian. She has worked as a counsellor for the One Young World charitable organisation, where she spoke in Dublin at its annual summit in 2014. In 2016, she became the Global Ambassador World Vision Canada and attended the Ottawa Summit that same year. In her role, she also travelled to Rwanda for the Clean Water Campaign.
