The desktop calendar for July has been released by Yellow Bhutan. This month features one-year-old Crown Prince Jigme Namgyel (also just referred to as The Gyalsey) by himself dressed as a doctor.
In the Yellow Bhutan post revealing the new image and monthly calendar, they said, “As always, we are overjoyed to bring you this incredibly adorable Kupar of our beloved Gyalsey!”
They went on to explain how, like many other children, the future King of Bhutan loves to play as a doctor. Yellow Bhutan then went on to praise the health personnel in the Asian kingdom for all that they do.
“Like His Royal Highness, many children are fond of playing ‘doctor-doctor’. Our health personnel are an inspiration and role models for many, for their hard work and sacrifice, and for healing and helping so many people every day,” they said on their Facebook page.
Additionally, they added that the July calendar was dedicated to all those working in the medical profession, “So we think it is apt to dedicate this edition of our calendar to the people working in the health sector. Thank you for all that you do!”
Each month, Yellow Bhutan releases a free desktop calendar featuring the Bhutanese Royal Family for both computers and smartphones. It includes both the Gregorian calendar dates and Bhutanese Lunar calendar dates. The calendar can be downloaded from their website here.
King Jigme Khesar Namgyel came to the throne after the abdication of his father, King Jigme Singye, in 2006. The King married Jetsun Pema in October 2011, and in December 2015, it was announced that they were expecting their first child. Their son was born on 5 February 2016.
