Princess Eugenie took in Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles alongside her cousin, Prince Harry.
The Princess was seen sitting in the private suite seating alongside the Duke of Sussex as the Los Angeles Rams took on the Cincinnati Bengals in SoFi Stadium. The Rams came back in the final minutes to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy 23-20.
It is not known when she flew to Los Angeles or how long she will stay in the United States. Whether or not her husband, Jack Brooksbank and their one-year-old son, August, joined her in America is also unknown.
This was the first Super Bowl for both Princess Eugenie and Prince Harry.
Prince Harry did not attend with his Los Angeles raised wife, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, who remained at home with the couple’s two children, Archie and Lili.
Harry and Eugenie have always been close. Eugenie has posted several supportive messages to her cousin and his wife on her Instagram account over the past couple of years. She also volunteered to participate in Archewell’s 40X40 – a mentoring program for women wanting to return to the workforce after the pandemic.
This is thought to be the first time a member of the Royal Family has travelled to the U.S. to visit the Sussexes since the couple stepped back as working members of the Royal Family and relocated to California in 2020 as the global health crisis began.
Princess Eugenie and her husband recently celebrated their son’s first birthday on 9 February. Eugenie paid a loving tribute to her son on her Instagram account, saying: “You are such a special soul that brightens every room with your smile and wave. You have made us so very proud.”
However, the Princess has not made any posts about the Super Bowl on her Instagram account.
