Little sister Eugenie snaps Beatrice’s engagement photos

”They are so close” – the words of Sarah, Duchess of York on her daughters as Princess Beatrice celebrated her engagement with photos taken by her younger sister, Princess Eugenie. Buckingham Palace confirmed that Beatrice is to marry Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi with an announcement accompanied by images by Eugenie.

Beatrice, who is ninth in line to the throne, accepted her partner’s proposal in Italy earlier in September. The happy news was confirmed on the morning of September 26th 2019.

Speaking as their plans to marry were made public, Beatrice said ”We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement. We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to be married.”.

Beatrice was shown wearing what appears to be an all diamond engagement ring in a photo taken by Eugenie and shared on the official Instagram account of the Royal Family. In the first image, Beatrice and Edoardo are shown cuddling while the second is a more formal shot of the two looking at one another.

Soon after the announcement, Sarah, Duchess of York confirmed Eugenie had been involved in the announcement because of the bond the two sisters share. Taking to Twitter, she said ”Eugenie took the colour photographs as my girls are so close”.

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are believed to have begun their relationship in 2018. Earlier this year, Beatrice and her boyfriend attended the wedding of Lady Gabriella Windsor and Thomas Kingston together, leading to rumours an engagement could be imminent.
