Following a video from the Princess of Wales announcing she has finished chemotherapy, her husband, the Prince of Wales says his wife has a “long way to go”
The Prince made those remarks and said “Bora Da” or “Good Morning” during a solo appearance at Swiss Valley Community Primary School in Llanelli, Wales. William met students who participated in the 2024 Urdd Eisteddfod, a week-long festival celebrating the Welsh culture and language.
William watched a compilation of the school’s entries before taking the time to meet with p[people at the school and learn more about the impact of the festival.
The headteacher at the school, Jo Davies told People Magazine of the visit: “What a gentleman! Absolutely fantastic. The staff have only known for just over a week that the Prince of Wales was coming.“
The end of the day was capped off with a sport William is known to be a fan of, rugby. William spent time at the Parc y Scarlets, the home of the Scarlets Rugby Union team to celebrate current and past members of the national women’s team. The visit is also in support of the “Missing Caps” campaign, an effort to make sure all players in Wales receive their place in history. Recently, members of the current international squad qualified for the 2025 World Cup.
The appearance came just hours after the Prince and Princess of Wales released a video in which Catherine talked of her hopes for the future and how she felt having finished chemotherapy.
When asked about his wife’s health during his time in Wales, Prince William said ”it’s good news but there is still a long way to go.”
