Prince William completed seven-and-a-half years of full-time
military service. He began his career with the Household Cavalry
before serving with the Royal Air Force, with his final posting as
an RAF Search and Rescue Pilot. The Duke of Cambridge left
operational service in the Armed Forces in 2013. Next year the
Prince will become an air ambulance pilot for East Anglian Air
Ambulance.
The royal family have a long lasting association with the RAF
Association. Her Majesty the Queen is patron and Prince Phillip and
Prince Charles have both been the president of the association at
some point.
The organisation do many things to help all generations of RAF
Service personnel and their families. Work they do include helping
young children to cope who are missing their parents, helping
injured airman recover, and much more.
Nick Bunting, the RAF Association Secretary General, said:
“Unsurprisingly the Association is thrilled to be welcoming the HRH
The Duke of Cambridge as a member. The RAF Association is all about
the RAF family providing friendship, help and support whenever and
wherever it’s needed.”
The RAF Association relies on the generosity of the general public,
as they receive no government funding. In 2013 the Association
supported around 82,000 beneficiaries and many more indirectly.

So what does all this mean for William? Is it just in name only? Deosn’t seem he will much time to give once he starts his training. He also is a family man now.
Being a member of the RAFA is like belonging to the American Legion or the Veteran of Foreign War (VFW) in the United States. Organizations like these bring fellow active service members & veterans together to help each other and help others. Just because on joins does not always mean you have to always participate or be actively involved.

Wills is a phenomenal young Prince. He is a son every parent would be immensely proud of. Prince William is duty conscience as is the tradition of The British Royal Family.
God bless The British Monarchy!
