The Prince of Wales almost stole the show at the Royal Variety Performance as he was overcome by giggles during several of the acts.
Prince William was seen wiping away tears of laughter during the performance by comedian, Tom Allen, with the TV cameras covering the event cutting to him several times.
There were more laughs, too, during a routine by compere, Bradley Walsh, over how to address the packed royal box. The Prince and Princess of Wales had been joined by Crown Princes Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden for the show and the host got a giggle from both heirs to the throne as he debated on how to address them all properly.
Bradley Walsh also made reference to the many royals who have attended the show over the years, telling Prince William that he had ‘’worked for your great nan, your nan, your grandad and your dad’.
Performances by Beverley Knight and the cast of Sister Act as well as Hannah Waddingham and Rick Astley also won royal applause.
The show took place at the end of November and was recorded for broadcast on December 17th 2023 on ITV.
