Royal guests revealed for The Prince of Wales’s 70th birthday dinner

Prince Charles’s great celebration is approaching. In a short time, royals from all over the world will gather to celebrate the Prince of Wales’s 70th birthday. Royal Central can now confirm participation from several European royal families.

To mark Prince Charles’s milestone birthday, The Queen will host a reception and dinner in the State Rooms of Buckingham Palace on 14 November. Close family and several other European royals are expected to attend. A new BBC documentary, Prince, Son and Heir: Charles at 70 will also air to coincide with the milestone birthday, featuring interviews with the Prince, the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William and Prince Harry.

Royal Central has received confirmation from the Serbian Royal Court that His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander of Serbia and Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia have been invited to the celebrations. However, the Serbian Royal Court will not say if they are going to attend, but it is very likely they will.

The Royal Court of Norway announced that King Harald, Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon, and Crown Princess Mette-Marit will attend. King Harald and Queen Sonja are personal friends of Prince Charles and Camilla.

It has already been confirmed that, on behalf of the Danish Royal Family, Crown Princess Mary and Crown Prince Frederik will attend Prince Charles’s 70th birthday celebrations. This was published earlier this month in a statement on the official Danish Royal Family website. Prince Charles and Camilla were guests of the couple during their Diamond Jubilee tour of Scandinavia in 2012, so this was no surprise.

Additionally, the Swedish Royal Court has confirmed that no members of the Swedish Royal Family will attend Prince Charles’s celebration. This is because they will receive a state visit from Italy on the date the Prince of Wales celebrates his birthday.

This article will be updated when other guests are announced.
