Queen Camilla was represented at the Cenotaph for the first time on Remembrance Sunday, with an equerry laying a wreath on her behalf.
For almost two decades, Her Majesty has watched on from the balcony of the Foreign Office as her husband laid a wreath.
However, as the consort of the sovereign, Camilla now lays a wreath on her own behalf, as was the case with the late Prince Philip.
Her Majesty opted to stay on the balcony to watch proceedings alongside the Princess of Wales, with an equerry laying a wreath on her behalf.
Camilla’s wreath featured her own racing colours which were inherited from her grandfather.
In a similar touching tribute to his mother, The King’s tribute featured his own purple and scarlet racing colours which were inherited from Queen Elizabeth II
The King was the first person to pay his respects at the Cenotaph, with His Majesty placing a wreath before saluting.
The Queen Consort was next to pay her respects, before the Prince of Wales, the Earl of Wessex and the Princess Royal.
An equerry was also used by the Duke of Kent who also watched on from the balcony of the Foreign Office alongside Sir Tim Laurence.
