The sweet nod to Mum in Lady Louise’s Trooping Outfit

Lady Louise Windsor joined her parents, The Earl and Countess of Wessex, for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations. She and her brother travelled with Edward and Sophie in a carriage to Horse Guards. Louise made a strong sartorial choice for her first Trooping the Colour.

Lady Louise was channelling her mother’s sense of style, as she has in the past, for this year’s Trooping. She wore Sophie’s Philip Treacy hat from the 2009 Trooping the Colour. The beige, oversized Treacy creation features straw embellishments.

The hat is from a particularly notable year for Louise, as she first attended Trooping the Colour and appeared on the balcony with her parents in 2009.

Louise paired the hat with midi-length, pink and white floral dress from Reiss and a blush, cropped jacket. The jacket is also similar to the piece that Sophie wore in 2009.

After turning 18 in November 2021, there were questions raised on whether or not Louise would start using the HRH style that she is entitled to use, but she has not started using it.

Lady Louise and her younger brother, Viscount Severn were not the only children to take part in the carriage procession to and from the Birthday Parade at Trooping. Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louise rode in a carriage with their mother, The Duchess of Cambridge, and their step-grandmother, The Duchess of Cornwall.

Prince Louis looked to be enjoying himself immensely, waving vigorously to onlookers, while his elder siblings and cousins were more collected.

Lady Louise has played a major role in Jubilee celebrations, taking part in the Royal Windsor Horse Show in May, with her grandmother watching on proudly. Louise took part in carriage driving at the event, a sport that she shared with her late grandfather. The RWHS celebrated The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, with the event called “A Gallop Through History” this year.
