The Queen arrives at Sandringham ahead of her 96th birthday

The Queen will mark her 96th birthday at Wood Farm, Sandringham, one of the favourite homes of her late husband.

Her Majesty arrived by helicopter on April 20th 2022 for a short stay.

Prince Philip spent much of his retirement at the farm on the Norfolk estate and The Queen has moved there from Windsor ahead of her birthday on April 21st 2022.

She chose to spend the 70th anniversary of her accession at the same location earlier this year.

The Queen will celebrate her birthday privately. It’s not known if any members of her family will join her in Norfolk. She was reunited with many of her grandchildren and great grandchildren at the weekend as they spent Easter Sunday at Windsor Castle.

Wood Farm is a five bedroom house on the Sandringham Estate that has been home to many members of the House of Windsor.
