The Hollywood star turned TV foodie who’s about to rustle up dinner for King Charles

He’s the Hollywood star who unexpectedly became a celebrated foodie and cook book author and now he’s set to create a dinner fit for a king for, well, The King.

Charles III is to be entertained to an Italian extravaganza selected by Stanley Tucci.

The actor revealed this weekend that he’s set to oversee a special meal for King Charles early in 2025.

The two have become friendly after the star of The Devil Wears Prada became involved in the Prince’s Trust Awards. In the New Year, Stanley Tucci will host a dinner for The King and he already knows what’s on the menu.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, Tucci revealed that Charles III can expect something seasonal and sustainable that showcases the best of British produce. He even hinted at the main course, telling the paper that ”roast pork, kale and squash” will all feature.

Tucci has been asked to arrange the dinner by the Italian ambassador to the UK. The actor won a whole new army of British fans through his cookery programmes celebrating the cuisine of Italy.

While his social media videos showing off recipes and cooking get huge viewings, particularly among his 4.9 million Instagram followers, he won’t be donning an apron for the royal meal. Instead, he’ll create the menu but confessed ”I won’t actually be in the kitchen, cooking for him.” Chef to royalty for the evening will be Francesco Mazzei, one of the best known Italian chefs in the UK.

The date is already in the diary in what could be a busy New Year as Stanley Tucci is already plaudits for his role as a cardinal in new film, Conclave, tipped for possible awards nods as 2025 gets under way.
