The Duke of York congratulates Harry and Meghan on baby boy

With his daughter Princess Eugenie celebrating her one-year wedding anniversary this autumn, perhaps the Duke of York will be making his own royal baby announcement in the next year or two. But for now, the Duke of York joined in the excitement of the day to send his best wishes to the Sussexes on the birth of their son.

“Congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the safe delivery of your baby boy!⁣” was posted by Prince Harry’s uncle on his official Instagram account, along with a re-post of the Sussex’s baby announcement.

Baby Sussex was born at 05:26 this morning, weighing in at 7 lbs. 3 oz. We’ll be seeing the new baby for the first time in two days, according to Prince Harry.

Prince Andrew is now eighth-in-line to the throne following the birth of the baby.
