The Queen is currently enjoying her annual break at the Balmoral estate in Aberdeenshire.
And on Sunday her Granddaughter, Princess Beatrice, accompanied The Queen to a church service at Crathie Kirk.
The Princess, who celebrated her 30th birthday just this week, wore all black for the service, while The Queen was seen in an elegant blue outfit with matching hat.
Despite the wet weather, it would seem she was in good spirits as she was photographed smiling.
It couldn’t go unnoticed however that Her Majesty had wrapped up in a blanket to shelter from the now colder summer.
Last Monday marked the official start of The Queen’s annual summer break in Balmoral where she is often in attendance at services in Crathie Church.
Also making an appearance at Sunday’s service was Prince Andrew who joined his mother and daughter in their car, riding up front with the chauffeur.
Not far behind was the daughter of Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex, Lady Louise Windsor, who travelled in a separate vehicle to The Queen.
But despite there being a number of royals enjoying a summer break at Balmoral, unfortunately, this year Prince Philip has been unable to join them on their trip as he is continuing to recover from a hip operation.
Upon The Queen’s arrival at the service, the traditional guard of honour was formed by the 3 Scots regiment and Officer Commanding Johnny Thompson was on hand to greet Her Majesty.
Well-wishers also stood to catch a glimpse of The Queen.
And it is not just the Crathie Kirk part of the Balmoral where she has been caught site of; The Queen has also spent recent weeks at Craigowan Lodge which is a smaller cottage on the estate also known as the Enchanted Manor.
Princess Beatrice has said this about Balmoral in the past:
“It’s the most beautiful place on earth.
“I think Granny is the most happy here, I think she really, really loves the Highlands.”
And we too hope The Queen is having a well-earnt break!
