Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has released a message to the Royal Family and the UK.
In a message on Twitter, the Prime Minister said: “My thoughts, and the thoughts of Canadians across the country, are with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at this time. We’re wishing her well, and sending our best to the Royal Family.”
On 7 September, Buckingham Palace said The Queen, 96, had been ordered to rest after welcoming the new Prime Minister on 6 September.
This morning, Buckingham Palace released a statement stating: “Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision. The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral.”
All of The Queen’s children have travelled to Scotland to be at her bedside after cancelling all of their engagements. The Duke of Cambridge has travelled to Balmoral, but the Duchess of Cambridge has remained in Windsor with their three children, who began school today.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are currently in the UK, are said to be going to Balmoral to see Her Majesty.
