More sadness for The Queen after her dorgi puppy dies aged just five-months

There is fresh heartbreak for The Queen this week following the death of one of her beloved dorgi puppies at the age of just five-months-old.

According to The Sun newspaper, the 95-year-old monarch is “devastated” following the death of the puppy who she named Fergus.

Fergus was gifted to The Queen earlier this year alongside another dorgi puppy called Muick.

It is understood that Fergus died over the weekend at Windsor Castle.

Fergus and Muick were a source of strength and companionship for Her Majesty, particularly a couple of months ago when the Duke of Edinburgh spent a lengthy period of time in hospital.

The puppies have also been supporting the monarch while she grieves the loss of Prince Philip who died last month at the age of 99.

Her Majesty had been walking both puppies each day in the grounds of Windsor Castle, alongside Candy, an older dorgi she owns.

A source told The Sun: “The Queen is absolutely devastated.

“The puppies were brought in to cheer her up during a very difficult period.

“Everyone concerned is upset as this comes so soon after she lost her husband.”

Buckingham Palace has not commented on the reports
