The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have joined their children at a ‘settling in’ afternoon at the school that all three will now attend.
Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and 4 year old Prince Louis were welcomed to Lambrook School near Windsor for a few hours ahead of term starting. The school always runs a settling in session for new pupils ahead of the fresh academic year.
The new term at Lambrook marks a major change for all three children. George and Charlotte were previously pupils at Thomas’ School in Battersea, London. The prince began there in 2017 while his sister joined him in 2019. However, the family’s move to Windsor has brought a new school, too.

It’s also a big moment for Prince Louis,4, who, like every child in the UK, must start school in the academic year they turn five. Louis looked happy as he played with his parents and siblings at the first school he will attend.
The Cambridges moved to Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor estate over the summer. It’s understood that Prince William wants to be closer to The Queen, who normally lives at the Castle, while both he and Kate hope their children will benefit from a move away from London.
Term starts at Lambrook on September 8th 2022.
