Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip share the record for the longest royal marriage in British history. The couple were married for 73 years, 139 days. They married at Westminster Abbey on 20 November 1947, and were parted upon his death on 9 April 2021.

A very modern record, The Queen is the most travelled monarch in British history. In her reign, she has undertaken over 250 official foreign visits. In her travels, she has visited 116 countries, with Canada being her most-visited nation.

Her Majesty holds several Guinness World Records, including the record for most currencies featuring the same individual. Her likeness appears on the currency of 35 different nations; Queen Victoria appeared on the currency of 21 nations.
One record that she has not yet broken is that of the longest reigning monarch. King Louis XIV of France ruled for 72 years, 110 days; The Queen will reach this milestone in 2024. King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand reigned for 70 years, 126 days and Prince Johann II of Liechtenstein reigned for 70 years, 91 days. The Queen is set to pass both of these monarchs this year before her official Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June.
