Harry & Meghan to miss Prince Philip’s memorial service

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not return to the UK later this month to attend a memorial service in memory of Harry’s late grandfather, Prince Philip.

A spokesperson for the couple added that Harry hoped to see The Queen soon.

The service is set for March 29th 2022, just a few days before the first anniversary of Prince Philip’s death.

A commemoration of Prince Philip’s life has been expected for several months. With pandemic restrictions lifting, it is now hoped that representatives of many of the charities and organisations he worked alongside will be able to come together to pay tribute to him.

Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh died on April 9th 2021 at WIndsor Castle. He was 99. His funeral took place at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor on April 17th 2021 with just 30 mourners present.
