Meghan’s South Africa fashion: Day 3

The third day of the South Africa tour started on a delightful note with a surprise appearance by baby Archie and a meeting with celebrated human rights activist Archbishop Desmond Tutu. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex met the Archbishop and his daughter for tea, bringing Archie along for the event.

Meghan wore a dress by Club Monaco, the ‘Dremah’ style in 100% silk. The sold-out dress with a blue brushstroke pattern is described by the retailer as “easy, breezy,” and it certainly looked comfortable and flowy, yet elegant enough for tea with the anti-apartheid leader.

The Duchess wore the same Jennifer Meyer turquoise earrings from day one of the tour, along with black heels by Manolo Blahnik for the event.

In case you’re wondering, little Archie wore H&M overalls and socks by Bonpoint; it was such a sweet, traditional baby outfit and he seemed to be enjoying his time with Mum and Dad (and meeting Archbishop Tutu).

After their family outing, Meghan paid a solo visit to Mothers2Mothers in Cape Town, wearing a black jumpsuit from Everlane. Their £100 ‘Japanese GoWeave Essential Jumpsuit’ (currently back-ordered until 16 November) was previously seen in the behind-the-scenes photos from the Vogue September issue shoot.

According to Everlane, the jumpsuit is constructed from “wrinkle-resistant Japanese GoWeave—a surprisingly breathable fabric that’s lightweight and travels well,” making it an ideal piece to bring on tour. It also provided to be an easy, comfortable choice for the event, where she sat on the floor with mothers and their babies.

Meghan added the gold ‘Gourmette’ earrings by Gas Bijoux that she wore in Morocco earlier this year along with her black Manolo heels.

Thursday morning, the Duchess attended a private “Women in Public Service” breakfast at the UK High Commission in South Africa. We’ll expect to see her next on 1 October during a roundtable discussion with the Association of Commonwealth Universities in Johannesburg; stay tuned to Royal Central for all of the details next week.
