Man arrested at Buckingham Palace

A man has been arrested outside Buckingham Palace after throwing suspected gun cartridges into its grounds.

A controlled explosion also took place.

The man was detained around 7pm on May 2nd 2023.

Police say he had a suspicious bag which is now being examined.

He was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.

A cordon was put in place at the Palace.

It’s understood that King Charles and Queen Camilla weren’t at the Palace at the time.
