While attending the celebrations of Aerospace and Aviation in
Manitoba Day at the Stevenson Hangar, Prince Charles was given a
miniature flying jacket for Prince George – an appropriate
gift, considering that his father, Prince William, was a pilot
for the RAF. Prince Charles was initially taken by surprise,
but started to chuckle, no doubt as he imagined his ten
month-old grandson dressed like a pilot.

The Prince of Wales
and Duchess of Cornwall also visited the Winnie the Pooh Gallery
while in Canada, where they accepted a Winnie the Poor teddy on
Prince George’s behalf. The stuffed bear is dressed in army
fatigues and has black fur.
It is modeled after the original Winnie the Bear, who inspired A.
A. Milne’s popular children’s stories. Perhaps the third in line to
the throne will read and enjoy the series when he grows a little
older.
Prince Charles additionally received a Mounty Police Moose and a
polar bear teddy on his visit to the Assiniboine Park Zoo. He was
delighted by all the gifts for his grandson, and even said: “It was
worth coming just for that”.
