King Charles III

King Charles to continue cancer treatment into 2025

The King will continue treatment for cancer into the New Year, it’s been confirmed.

His Majesty has been undergoing weekly treatment since being diagnosed with an unspecified form of the disease in February.

Now, Buckingham Palace has said that treatment will go on into 2025 as things are ”moving in a positive direction”.

It’s also been confirmed that King Charles will undertake more overseas visits in the coming year with his overseas diary described as ”pretty normal looking”.

The King’s visits abroad were severely curtailed in 2024 as he was treated for cancer. However, in October, he undertook a tour of Australia and Samoa.

With just days to go before Christmas, The King and Queen were in east London for a reception marking community cohesion.

As they walked through parts of Walthamstow, King Charles was asked how he was and replied ”I’m still alive” with a smile.

The Queen donated dozens of teddy bears to Citizens UK to give to children this Christmas while The King gave a large donation to a local food bank.

King Charles and Queen Camilla will now head to Norfolk where they will spend Christmas at Sandringham. The Prince and Princess of Wales, with their three children, are expected to join them as is Queen Camilla’s son, Tom Parker Bowles, who earlier this month said he intended to be at the festive gathering.
