King Charles III

King Charles III’s State Visit to France confirmed for early autumn

The State Visit of King Charles and Queen Camilla to France will now take place in September.

Their Majesties will visit Paris and Bordeaux between September 20th and 22nd 2023.

The King and Queen were due to make the official trip in March 2023 but had to cancel because of strikes and protests at pension changes planned by President Emmanuel Macron.

The State Visit to France was to have been the first outgoing trip made by King Charles since his accession. His State Visit to Germany, due to take place immediately afterwards, went ahead meaning the trip to France this September will be the second such official event of his reign.
