King Charles and Queen Camilla have unveiled their first Christmas card since Charles became monarch.
Buckingham Palace released the image that features on Their Majesties Christmas card; it was taken by Sam Hussein at the Braemar Games on 3 September – just a few days before Charles became King.
Their Christmas card, which will be shared with close friends and family, reads: “Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year.”

A different card will be sent to the public who send Christmas wishes to Their Majesties.
Other royal festive photos are expected in the coming days and weeks.
King Charles ascended the throne on 8 September after the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, who died at the age of 96. This will be a Christmas of firsts for the new monarch as he will host Christmas as Sandringham for the first time and address the people of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth on Christmas Day in a televised speech.
