King Charles III arrives for a brief, private farewell to Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Hall before the State Funeral

The King has arrived at Westminster Hall for a few moments of final farewell before the State Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

Charles III was accompanied from Clarence House to Westminster Hall by his heir, the Prince of Wales. Following in a second car were the Duke of Sussex and Peter Phillips.

The family had a few moments to say some private farewells before the coffin of Her Late Majesty was carried out to the State Gun carriage for the procession to Westminster Abbey.

On top, alongside the Imperial State Crown, was a wreath of pink and red flowers.

Queen Elizabeth II’s State Funeral will take place before over 2,000 invited guests at the Abbey.
