King Charles holds Commonwealth audience at Buckingham Palace

The King has received the Commonwealth Secretary General at Buckingham Palace for an audience.

Baroness Scotland of Asthal met King Charles in an important week for the organisation.

On March 11th 2024, Baroness Scotland had been present at Westminster Abbey for the Commonwealth Day service where His Majesty delivered a pre-recorded message via video.

The Queen, with the Prince of Wales at her side, led the Royal Family at the service.

Her Majesty later attended the Commonwealth Day reception with Baroness Scotland at Marlborough House in London.

The King, Head of the Commonwealth, was unable to attend either event in person this year as he continues treatment for cancer.

Commonwealth Day is held every year on the second Monday in March.
