The King and Queen hosted a double reception at Buckingham Palace to honour as many members of the military as they could.
King Charles and Queen Camilla filled several rooms at their London home with members of regiments and organisations that they have links with.

His Majesty welcomed around 340 people to his reception including members of the Parachute Regiment, of which he has been Colonel in Chief for nearly half a century. Members of the RAF Regiment were also at The King’s reception.
Queen Camilla held a separate reception to ensure that as many military personnel were invited as possible.

Among the guests at Her Majesty’s reception were members of the Grenadier Guards and submariners from HMS Astute.
Warrant Officer Danny Manifold later told Forces News that a hot topic of conversation had been the special gift that The Queen sent the submarine. Queen Camilla gave them tea and shortbread with Warrant Officer Manifold saying they had been ”really well received” and that The Queen is ”really involved”.
