Queen Camilla

Queen Camilla loves this royal brooch and its star gem is mysterious and possibly mystical

King Charles and Queen Camilla were joined by several family members for Easter Sunday service at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. The Queen chose a mysterious piece of jewellery for the event.

Queen Camilla wore a light blue coat dress and coordinating hat. She wore pearl drop earrings for the event, and a mysterious brooch.

The Queen’s brooch features a large round light blue stone that is assumed to be moonstone; the stone is held in place by a baguette diamond on top and below, and is surrounded by a diamond scroll.  Moonstones are said to be mystical and are associated with new beginnings.

Queen Camilla has worn the brooch a few times publicly. It was first spotted in 2022 when she wore the piece to Royal Ascot to present the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes. She also wore it for the incoming South African State Visit in November 2022, her first as Queen.

Despite its public appearances, it is unknown who made the brooch, when it was made and who gave it to Queen Camilla.

The Princess Royal also chose a statement brooch for Easter this year. She was seen wearing her Stalactite Brooch, a piece that she received in 1973 from her mother as a wedding gift. The unique brooch has cascading diamonds set in yellow gold.
