Prince William says he and Kate have not yet met the Royal Baby but are “absolutely thrilled”

The Duke of Cambridge has said that he and his wife, the Duchess of Cambridge, have not yet had a chance to meet Baby Sussex but are “absolutely thrilled”.

Speaking on Tuesday afternoon, Prince William shared his delight at the news of the birth.

His Royal Highness said that he was “looking forward to seeing them in the next few days when things have quietened down.”

Prince William added: “I’m very pleased to welcome my brother to the sleep deprivation society that is parenting.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex appear to be lacking royal visitors as the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall also revealed that they have not yet seen the baby.

Charles and Camilla are currently on a tour of Germany and did not get a chance to travel to Windsor to meet their new grandchild before jetting off to continental Europe.

Speaking in Berlin, Prince Charles said: “We couldn’t be more delighted at the news and we’re looking forward to meeting the baby when we return.”

What they may be lacking in royal visitors though is made up by family & friends.

The Duchess of Sussex’s mother, Doria Ragland, is staying at Frogmore Cottage with the royal trio.

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh are also staying at Windsor Castle, so if they haven’t already seen their 8th great-grandchild, they will do very shortly.
