Buckingham Palace reveal which royals will be undertaking UK wide Jubilee tour

Buckingham Palace has revealed that the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall will be visiting all four countries in the UK to mark the Platinum Jubilee.

The confirmation that Charles and Camilla will head a round of Jubilee visits came as they touched down in Northern Ireland for a series of engagements marking the 70th anniversary of The Queen’s reign.

The couple, who will also visit the Republic of Ireland later in the week, arrived on March 22nd 2022.

Announcing this latest trip to Northern Ireland in a statement, royal officials continued ”Their Royal Highnesses will be travelling to all countries in the United Kingdom this Platinum Jubilee year.”

It’s the first time that 2022 Jubilee tours around England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have been discussed in detail. During her previous Jubilees, The Queen undertook substantial visits around the UK, famously touring 36 counties in her Silver Jubilee year. In 2012, she undertook trips to all four countries in the United Kingdom although the Commonwealth visits that year were all carried out by other members of the Royal Family.

A series of Platinum Jubilee tours have already been confirmed for 2022. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have just spent several days in Belize and will move on to Jamaica and the Bahamas.
