BREAKING: Senior aides to Her Majesty called to London for emergency meeting

It has been reported that Her Majesty’s aides from all over the country have been called to London for an emergency meeting at Buckingham Palace.

Her most senior aides being called to the capital from all over the United Kingdom has caused frantic speculation as to the reason behind the emergency meeting. The staff from Balmoral, Windsor Castle and Sandringham were requested to attend the meeting.

The aides will be addressed by the Lord Chamberlain, who is the most senior officer in the Royal Household, and Her Majesty’s Private Secretary Sir Christopher Geidt this morning.

A source told the Daily Mail that meetings involving the entire staff are occasionally called; however, one being called at such a late hour is “highly unusual.”

The source said, “Although meetings involving the entire royal household are occasionally called, the way this has been done at the eleventh hour is highly unusual and suggests that there is something major to be disseminated.

“But at the moment, only those closest to her genuinely know what on earth this is all about.”

Many on social media have speculated that an announcement regarding The Queen or Duke of Edinburgh may be imminent.

The Mail was also told by sources that “the Lord Chamberlain does call meetings of household staff from time to time and said it would be wrong to speculate further.”

Her Majesty, who turned 91 on 21 April, recently just returned to London from Windsor after she spent the Easter holiday break there. The Duke will turn 96 in June; he had an engagement yesterday to open a new Warner Stand at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.

Buckingham Palace refused to comment when contacted by the Mail.
