A special image of Queen Elizabeth II in her last summer marks the anniversary of her birth

A special family photo of Queen Elizabeth II with some of her great grandchildren and grandchildren has been shared on what would have been Her Late Majesty’s 97th birthday.

The Princess of Wales took the portrait last summer at Balmoral and unveiled it on the anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s birth as a tribute.

Her Late Majesty’s eldest great grandchild, Savannah Phillips, sits on one side while Mia Tindall sits on the other, holding her little brother, Lucas, on her lap.

In the row behind are Lena Tindall, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Isla Phillips and Prince Louis. Also joining this family group are Queen Elizabeth II’s youngest grandchildren, Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor and her brother James, now Earl of Wessex.

In the background, there appears to be a family photo of Sienna Mapelli Mozzi, Queen Elizabeth II’s youngest great grandchild, in the Royal Family’s christening robe. She is held by her father, Edoardo.

Queen Elizabeth II headed to Balmoral for her usual summer stay in July 2022. She remained there until her death on September 8th 2022.

Her Late Majesty was born on April 21st 1926 in London.
