
The Prince and Princess of Wales have visited Southport to meet the families of three girls killed in a knife attack in the summer.
The couple also spoke to first responders who were involved in caring for the youngsters and those injured in the attack.
[getty src=”2177034033″ width=”594″ height=”396″ tld=”com”]It was the first public engagement for the Princess of Wales outside of royal residences since she completed chemotherapy in early autumn.
William and Catherine had private meetings with the families the three young girls who died. The children were attending a Taylor Swift theme dance class when they were attacked. The Prince and Princess also met one of the class teachers who was injured during their visit.
[getty src=”2177028493″ width=”594″ height=”396″ tld=”com”]Their time in Southport also saw them meet emergency response teams. They spoke to  fire, ambulance, air ambulance and police services at Southport Community Centre where they heard about how they had tried to help following the attack.

Bebe King, 6, Elsie Dot Stancombe, 7, and nine year old Alice da Silva Aguiar died following the attack in July.
