Poignant style pick from Queen Camilla for Australian arrival

Queen Camilla made a style statement as she and King Charles landed in Australia to begin a six day visit.

Although it was dark and rainy when Their Majesties arrived at Sydney Airport, Queen Camilla chose a bold and bright outfit for their first day of the visit.

Her Majesty turned to one of her favourite designers, Fiona Clare for her first ensemble. She wore cobalt blue midi-dress with three-quarter length sleeves, a v-neck, and embroidered detailing on the bust.

She accessorised with neutral pumps and a clear umbrella. She also carried a taupe top-handle handbag from Charlotte Elizabeth, a British brand that originally started with support from The King’s Trust (then The Prince’s Trust).

Queen Camilla also chose a very sentimental piece of jewellery for her first appearance in Australia as Queen.

She wore the Australian Wattle Brooch, a brooch that was given to Queen Elizabeth II during her 1954 tour of Australia. Designed to mimic a spray of wattle, the national flower of Australia, the platinum brooch is set with both white and yellow diamonds.

The King and Queen will be in Australia for six days before leaving for a visit to Samoa. While in Samoa, The King will also attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, known as CHOGM.
