t has been revealed that Princess Charlene of Monaco had a festive meeting with Prince Albert and their two children, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, shortly before the Christmas period.

According to Marie Clare, the Monegasque sovereign took the twins to see Charlene shortly before Christmas, spending around four hours with the Princess.

The publication reports that the family brought her photos and gifts as Her Serene Highness recovers from a period of ill-health.

The Princely Palace had previously revealed that Charlene’s family would be visiting her over Christmas. This is the first time details over the visit have emerged.

Princess Charlene, 43, is undergoing treatment for an unspecified reason in an undisclosed location outside Monaco. She entered the treatment facility after experiencing fatigue.

Charlene had been grounded in her home country of South Africa from May until November of this year after an ear, nose and throat infection made it impossible to fly. She required several surgeries to correct the condition and was finally cleared to return to Monaco in November.

The most recent official update from the Princely Palace was that her recovery is continues “encouragingly” and will take a few more months.
