The Platinum Jubilee is almost upon us, and Buckingham Palace has announced many plans for the four-day event.
The celebrations last from Thursday, 2 June through Sunday, 5 June in London and throughout the United Kingdom.
There has long been talk of a surprise event at the end of the Jubilee, and just what that could be may have been revealed, according to the Daily Mirror.
Reports suggest that the Jubilee weekend will conclude with a balcony appearance by The Queen, Prince of Wales, Duke of Cambridge and Prince George at Buckingham Palace.
The Duchess of Cornwall and Duchess of Cambridge are expected to join their husbands on the balcony; whether or not George’s younger siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, will appear has not been revealed. If they do make an appearance, it will not be announced until 5 June.
The Mirror says The Queen “wants the world to see the heartbeat of her family and the future of the monarchy,” as the People’s Pageant comes to an end on 5 June.
It is understood that other members of the Royal Family, like the Princess Royal, Earl and Countess of Wessex and their children, will watch from the royal box at the grandstand set up at the Queen Victoria Memorial.
Buckingham Palace has not confirmed the report.
