There was shock and sadness at Kensington Palace this week after news spread that a body was found in a pond just outside of Kensington Palace.
The body of a woman was retrieved from the ornamental lake which can be seen from the home of the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge and their children.
According to the Daily Mail, the body was at first misidentified, with police notifying the family of a woman who is in fact still alive.
The body remains unidentified, with a Scotland Yard spokesperson telling the Mail that: ‘The death is being treated as unexplained at this time, but is not thought to be suspicious.”
The Cambridge family are not believed to currently be in residence at Kensington Palace.
